2. Visiting this website and hosting with STRATO

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. As our hosting provider, STRATO processes the data needed to make this website available.

When you visit this website, the data processed includes your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested page or file, the amount of data transferred, the HTTP status, details of your browser and operating system and, where applicable, the page you visited previously (referrer).

This processing enables us to deliver the website, keep it running reliably, diagnose errors and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest is in providing a secure, functioning website. The website cannot be displayed without the technically necessary transmission of data. You are under no obligation to visit our website.

According to STRATO’s information on data processing, IP addresses are stored for no more than seven days to detect and prevent attacks. This is separate from the access logs made available to hosting customers: STRATO anonymises IP addresses or hostnames in these logs and makes the logs for the previous six weeks available for download.

3. Cookies, fonts and website features

The website code we use does not set cookies or store visitor identifiers in your browser’s local storage. It contains no analytics or advertising scripts, embedded social media or embedded maps. The menu and expandable price list work without a visitor identifier.

Images, styling, scripts and the Exo 2 font are served from our own hosting. Body text uses system fonts available on your device. No external font service is contacted.

4. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the contact details you provide and the content of your enquiry to respond to your request and, where applicable, prepare or carry out a repair order. The email and telecommunications providers used are involved in transmitting and providing these communications.

For enquiries about a contract or a potential order, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We handle other enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is in responding to your request. Providing information is voluntary. Without the information necessary to handle your enquiry, we may be unable to respond.

We retain the data for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any subsequent order. It is then deleted unless statutory retention duties or legitimate grounds for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims require further retention. The legal basis for statutory retention duties is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, and for protecting legal claims, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. External links and Google Maps

The directions feature is a link to Google Maps. No map is embedded on our website. A connection to Google is only established when you open the link. The same applies to other external links, such as those to the Cybator internet café or STRATO’s information pages.

When you visit a linked website, its operator’s privacy information applies. Personal data such as your IP address may be processed and, where applicable, transferred to countries outside the European Union.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the following rights:

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew consent.

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object under Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

To exercise your rights, contact werkstatt@cybator.de or write to the postal address above.

7. Complaints to a supervisory authority

Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.

In Hamburg, you can contact the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg. You can use the Hamburg data protection authority’s complaint form.

8. Automated decision-making

The functions of this website do not involve automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
